Bambu Lab
From Zero to Korea’s 3D Printing Conversation in 6 Months 🖨️🇰🇷
Korea’s 3D printer market is driven by informed enthusiasts who compare products inside Naver cafes and trust peer reviews over any brand message. Bambu Lab, the global leader in consumer 3D printing, was entering a market where purchase decisions happen on Naver rather than Google, and where community credibility matters more than global recognition. Strong brand equity abroad would not convert into Korean sales without a locally built operation that showed up in the right places from day one.
expand k planned and ran the launch end to end. We built the foundation on KR keyword research, developing a 500+ keyword set across brand, product, and generic 3D printer demand, then took Naver Search Ads live across Brand Search, Powerlink, and Power Content, with Naver Display Ads building upper-funnel reach among maker, DIY, and tech audiences, all timed to the Black Friday promotion for sales momentum from month one. To reach Korea’s maker communities directly, we ran community ads inside the country’s largest 3D printing Naver cafes through banners, pinned notices, and member messages, set up and managed the official Naver Blog and KakaoTalk Channel with monthly localised content, and produced monthly UGC reviews with Korean creators.
The full-funnel approach delivered from launch. Within 6 months, Bambu Lab’s Naver Ads sustained a ROAS above 3,000%, with over 1,000 monthly purchases and more than one million monthly impressions, while community ads reached over 110,000 members across Korea’s most active 3D printing cafes.
In a category where buyers trust each other more than brands, showing up credibly in the community is what turns demand into sales. expand k took Bambu Lab from market entry to a full-funnel Korean operation in 6 months, turning community-raised demand into measurable, repeatable results.
