Driving Brand Visibility and Conversion through Naver Blog, Localised Search, and Keyword-Based Content Strategy
Introduction
DoFasting, a fast-growing wellness solutions platform from Lithuania, aimed to accelerate its market entry into Korea, a country ranked among the top in digital advertising spend and health-app penetration. While globally recognised for its fasting-based wellness app, DoFasting struggled to gain traction in Korea’s tightly localised search environment, where visibility depends on Naver’s algorithm rather than global SEO norms.
To adapt effectively, DoFasting partnered with expand k to execute a Korean digital marketing programme encompassing website localisation, Naver-centric SEO, blog activation, and paid search management. The initiative sought to rebuild DoFasting’s Korean digital presence from the ground up and convert local search exposure into measurable subscriptions.
Challenges & Objectives
Korea’s health-and-diet app sector is saturated with domestic players offering culturally familiar wellness solutions. Global apps entering the market often underperform because English-language sites fail to index on Naver and lack native long-tail keyword depth. Moreover, Korean users rely heavily on blog reviews and influencer validation before installing wellness apps.
The project’s objectives were therefore threefold: to localise DoFasting’s web funnel and metadata for Naver discoverability; to produce ongoing Naver Blog content aligned with high-value health and fasting keywords; and to manage integrated Naver and Daum search ads optimised for Korean search intent. These efforts aimed to elevate brand credibility, boost qualified traffic, and drive app sign-ups within the Korean market.
Activities
The initiative began with an extensive keyword-research project, mapping nearly 1,000 high-value Korean search terms related to fasting, diet planning, and digital wellness. Insights from this database guided the localisation of the Korean DoFasting landing funnel, refining tone, UX copy, and cultural phrasing throughout the site.
expand k subsequently launched Naver and Daum paid search campaigns, including Brand Search and Powerlink placements, supported by continuous A/B optimisation of ad copy, visuals, and bid strategies. In parallel, a Naver Blog content marketing programme was implemented - optimised posts integrating priority keywords, visuals, and native-style formatting. Blog activity was monitored daily, with comment-based user interaction and monthly Looker Studio performance reports connecting content metrics to conversion outcomes.
Results
The campaign produced a measurable lift in search visibility and user engagement: DoFasting’s Korean blog and landing pages began ranking for top-tier fasting-related keywords within Naver’s first results page, driving a consistent flow of organic traffic. Paid campaigns delivered a sustained improvement in click-through and app-install rates, with search and blog channels becoming the brand’s primary acquisition funnel in Korea.
expand k’s localisation-driven strategy transformed DoFasting’s presence from a translated product page into an optimised, culturally attuned ecosystem. By uniting web localisation, keyword intelligence, and blog-centred SEO, the partnership built a scalable foundation for Kilo Health’s continued expansion across East Asia.
